- Every tree is geo-taggedGPS coordinates and a donor ID tag are recorded for each tree within a week of planting, so you can find yours on the map.

Cambridge Climate Challenge 2026
The University's climate competition, run by Cambridge Zero. Canopy took first prize among the new concepts and ideas at the Grand Final at King's College.

Indonesia's scholars rule that zakat can pay for clean water and sanitation for whole villages. The first door opens.
- 2017
US$350,000 of zakat builds micro-hydro power for 803 homes in Jambi. The first zakat-funded clean energy anywhere.
- 2023
The scholars' climate fatwa: wrecking the climate is haram, and helping to fix it is a duty.
- 2025
BAZNAS, Bank Syariah Indonesia and the UN write the Green Zakat Framework. Launched 3 September; adopted by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
- 2026
The first Green Zakat Index scores 41 zakat bodies on how green their giving is: 54 out of 100. Early days, and moving.
